The Worland - Ten Sleep Chamber of Commerce is located in Worland, Wyo., which is nestled within the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains. It is centrally located in the northern portion of Wyoming, and consists of two towns: Ten Sleep and Worland.

Travelers from the east will embark on the Big Horn Mountains via Cloud Peak Sky (U.S. Hwy. 16) after exiting the I-90 corridor in Buffalo. The Big Horns offer the outdoor enthusiast summer activities including: boating, some of the finest fishing around, hiking, picnicking, photography, fossil hunting, camping and peaceful moments in wilderness areas which allow time to contemplate the splendor and beauty of the region.

This is the same land that was precious to native Americans. This was an area the Sioux, Crow and Blackfoot Indians fought over.

In the fall and winter months, the mountain land offers pleasant treks by snow machine or by skis, both cross-country and downhill. Big Horn Ski Area (1-888-BIGHORN) offers fast, easy runs for the downhill athlete. Prime cross-country ski trails are located nearby at Willow Park.

Wildlife abounds in the region and big game hunting is a popular activity for both locals and nonresident sportsmen. Elk, antelope, mule deer and upland game birds represent the diversity of habitat of the region and the options for interested outdoorsmen.

Along our travel route the amazing geography changes from mountains to badlands between Ten Sleep and Worland on Highway 16. This area, in fact, had been covered by water during its history. Many fish and amphibious fossils have been uncovered, revealing the true diversity of this area.
